About Us
The Pikes Peak Chapter of the Colorado Restaurant Association (PPCRA) is a vibrant chapter of the Colorado Restaurant Association (CRA). CRA is the leading trade organization for the state’s dynamic foodservice industry, which is a driving force for the Colorado economy. Our sole purpose is to protect restaurant businesses and help them succeed. The CRA is run by restauranteurs, for restaurants.
The PPCRA, through its signature grand tasting event, The Taste of Pikes Peak (TOPP) supports the Colorado Restaurant Foundation. The Colorado Restaurant Foundation (CRF) was established in 1987. As the philanthropic foundation of the CRA, the CRF’s mission of service is dedicated to enriching the industry’s workforce training and education, career development, and the overall well-being of the industry and its employees.
Strategic Priorities
Advocate for Restaurants
The PPCRA advocated for the restaurant industry at the local, state, and national level. We build positive relationships with local associations, nonprofit organizations, municipalities, and elected officials to promote the interests of our industry, our restaurants and the people who work in them.
We advocate for the bright future of our industry through mentorship and financial support of local workforce development. Colorado ProStart is a high school hospitality education program that offers a restaurant/hospitality management, culinary arts, and business economics curriculum to juniors and seniors, and provides high school and college academic credit, scholarships, and paid work experience opportunities for students.
Build Community
Through our programming and events, we build connection within the restaurant community. Our board and chapter members are local leaders making a positive impact throughout our region.
Our signature grand tasting event, The Taste of Pikes Peak is a celebration of Pikes Peak area restaurants and the region’s food, beverage, culinary and hospitality community.
